After the unexpectedly disrupted trip, I'm finding it a bit challenging to regain my rhythm. The disorientation lingered longer than expected, but this morning marked a small milestone—I finally unpacked my travel suitcase, spurred by the need for post-shower essentials.
My morning was dedicated to updating the Church website, ensuring everything was current for the week ahead. With that task complete, Bill and I set out on our usual Saturday lunch outing. This time, we decided to explore a new spot that had been making the rounds on Facebook: Point BBQ Co. in Springfield.

Interestingly, Springfield is as close and possibly quicker to reach than many of our usual choices in London. Despite being new to us, the restaurant has been receiving considerable attention online. The result: an overwhelming surge of customers. The owner, apologetic for the lack of brisket and ribs, explained that his entire weekend supply had sold out on Friday alone. He was working on smoking more, but as any BBQ lover knows, good things take time.

Fortunately, the pulled pork was available—and excellent. Both Bill and I were impressed and Point BBQ Co. has earned a spot on our repeat list.
The afternoon was filled with some light tasks around the apartment, followed by digging into the extensive proposals and documentation for GC45. It’s a lot to take in, but also deeply engaging.
Dinner was a bit indulgent: jambalaya at Alberta’s, followed by my daily ritual at The Frozen Cow—a kid-sized cone, no gummy.
Nothing thrilling to report on travel or GC45 just yet. I’m looking forward to rejoining the journey soon, even if this leg will be by plane rather than behind the wheel.
