I was determined to finally get away today. As per my routine I slept in the Escape one more time and what a difference. With the addition of a Coleman Self Inflating mattress, the experience became comfortable. The rest of the morning was spent packing and wrapping up home responsibilities. By the end, I was scrambling and grabbing. The van became loaded and probably overloaded. Time will tell. I had to give up on my idea of a place for everything and realize that some stuff will spend the travel time on the bed and sleep time piled in the front seats. This shot is before the last load.

At 1:00 p.m. I waved goodbye and the adventure began. I made it as far as the first Enroute before we used Timmie’s Drive-Thru to add the missing coffee. The rest of the day was a pleasant meander to Parry Sound 387.4 km much of it thru heavy slow traffic but I didn’t care because I had nowhere to be and no time to get there. The farther north we ventured the prettier the scenery became. One break was taken at the first Hyw 400 rest stop for a walk around and personal necessities. Once in Parry Sound I first scouted out the Walmart then with the help of YELP on my phone a place for lunch. I picked out the Trestle Brewery and had a fine feed of a

Dirty Chicken Sandwich with a side salad. Tasty and good service but my budget will not support travel including suppers at trendy places in tourist towns. Tonight was a bit of a celebration. I took a small drive around town and so many beautiful vistas but practicality brought me back to the Walmart where I am comfortable nestled in a back corner with another van camper,

 think I will stroll over to Walmart and pick up a book to read. The used book stores in town are closed for the evening. Tomorrow gas up and on we go.
