The rest of our visit at Bob and Kathy's was enjoyable relaxing and fun filled. Most of the time we shared each others company through good times and good food. Their place lends itself to a cottage atmosphere and the pace was just right. Several challenges were available from Bob in cribbage but overall it was my week at the board. Bob had minor surgery on Wednesday and Mary and I went to Vernon to visit Ken and Agnes Howard - former Dorchester neighbors. They have a lovely place overlooking the lake and have become native to the area. We were treated to a great tour of Vernon, its subdivisions, its parks and one of its wineries. They also provided supper and a chance to catch up on past events. On Thursday Mary, Kathy and I went into Kelowna to shop and bum around while Bob rested and recuperated. On Friday Mary and Kathy went back to town to shop for our return to Ontario and Bob and I relaxed in the sun. Friday night we went to Armstrong to an outdoor Theatre production of a local play "Jean Henry". This was a unique and pleasant experience in a marvelous outdoor setting. Saturday night we took a ride to Bob and Kathy's fiends George and Rita. While the purpose of the visit was to use George as a guide to do some on lake fishing the evening turned into a Saturday afternoon barbecue and swim. George's son in law did take a run around the lake and I did go along for a great ride with a stop in the middle to cool off. Great day meeting new people and sharing stories and conversation. During this time we also met several of the neighbors and took pictures of their house including my first experiment with a multi picture panorama using a combination of camera and software. I saved a high-resolution copy to see if I can do an acceptable print. When we finally left for home it was a sad happy occasion. Having our own home on the lot next door allowed for a much less intrusive visit with privacy and downtime on each of our own schedules.
