This day is set aside for doing our own thing. After a leisurely breakfast George Saarinen picked Mary up to give her a personal tour of the city. Unfortunately we forgot to send a camera with Mary and George. They toured the complete city including Marina Park Top of the mountain in Mission Island for a birds eye view of Thunder Bay, The East Side houses etc. Then to a park named after the James Wheyland (sp?) a tugboat. Another park, nice boardwalk with a walk through the wild flowers, a tour around the major industries Bow water, Bombadier, etc. Along Water Street and through the harbour. A visit to the super store so Mary could get some supplies and all in all a great tour Mary enjoyed herself immensely. I stayed behind and worked on the Internet, on several database programs I am creating or fixing and on the web page for the family and friends detailing this trip. I even got it posted to the web today.
Mary came back thrilled but not feeling the best. I cooked us a lunch snack of a grilled cheese for Mary and a Hamburger between two slices of bread for myself. For supper Mary made me some Campbell's butternut squash soup and Triscuts. We spent the rest of the day around the campsite getting caught up on laundry and not even eating decent meals - just a lazy evening. Mary slept most of the afternoon. Late in the day I took a list and found a grocery store and a gas station to get ready for next stage of our journey. We did however get in out cribbage games. I finally got into a book and relaxed enough to do some reading.
